Identity
Been London uses waste materials to produce stunning bags. Materials that usually end up in landfill are the starting point of the Been design process. Each bag is carefully handcrafted in London from sustainable fabrics, focusing on both function and style.
Atelier Dyakova was commissioned by Genia Mineeva, the founder of this innovative business, to create a visual identity for her brand.
Inspired by the notion of transformation, we have employed a typeface designed by Stefan Ellmer at The Pyte Foundry. Robust letterforms were created by ‘recycling’ and digitally reviving Victorian typography specimens. Pyte-faces balance functionality and idiosyncrasy, historical reference points and contemporary design practice, to the delight of designers and readers alike.
