Judd x Saint Laurent
The identity was first unveiled in a publication accompanying the opening of the Yves Saint Laurent flagship store on the Champs-Élysées in Paris. The presentation marked the debut of two bespoke finishes created by Anthony Vaccarello in collaboration with Saint Laurent: brushed steel and traffic white painted aluminium. Conceived specifically for the store, these materials were applied to Judd’s original 1984 designs. The full collection—15 pieces ranging from chairs and tables to desks and beds—was realised in these new finishes for the first time and made available for purchase.
The Logo
The new logo carries the same clarity and rigour that define Judd’s work. Its sharp, geometric letterforms reflect the rational structure at the core of his practice. A square dot above the “i” offers a quiet gesture toward his visual language—an understated, deliberate tribute to his legacy.
The Book
Leporello-bound, the publication reflects the geometry, precision, and restraint characteristic of Judd’s work. Its concertina structure mirrors the furniture’s proportions and planes, giving equal presence to both collaborators. Their voices unfold in parallel—distinct yet harmoniously aligned.
