The Wapping Project is a nomadic platform for the continuous development of ideas, thoughts and people. It commissions contemporary artists to produce multi-disciplinary site-specific exhibitions and performances.
As part of its programme, it creates publications for which we proposed a system while we conceived The Wapping Project’s identity. Printed on bible paper, these thin, pocket-sized publications have a light and ethereal feel. The layout maintains the identity developed for The Wapping Project. The slanted bespoke typographic characters are reflected inside the books. The cover material changes from publication to publication, creating an interesting ensemble variation. The covers use diverse print techniques, such as embossing or foiling, to liven up the content while continuing to graphically signal their link to The Wapping Project.
